    Default Star gaze alert...meteor showers...if you're lucky.

The Lyrid meteor shower activity begins tonight and can also be viewed tomorrow night if clear skys prevail.
Unfortunately, the clouds will be thickening tonight ahead of an approaching storm front tomorrow.
Not sure how the night sky looks in your neck of the woods...

Thanks for the info! I'm gonna do an overnight loop tomorrow, hopefully I'll get to see something! I guess I should look for an iphone app for constellations since I know nothing about astronomy...doh

No need for star hoping or constelation knowledge for this event, just kick back and enjoy the show.Meteors come from an area in the sky known as a Radi,so when you spot one the others will stem from the same general area.Have a great hike. And as always keep looking up.
