What is frequently missed here at WB is understanding... find the cheapest down bag at 600+ fill vs $$$ and least weight (under two pounds) or one. It is your money learn how to use it to your best advantage..... Look for close outs - understand what the difference is from 650 - 800 and you know if you can afford it jump for the higher fill. It does get lighter. You are buying a bag for a LIFETIME. So you don't zip it still cheaper.... if you want something custom PM me, I will find it for you.
Dogs are excellent judges of character, this fact goes a long way toward explaining why some people don't like being around them.
Woo
theres comforters, duvets, and thows...was wondering if anyone went outside the norm to buy 1 that worked for hiking.
Western Mountaineering makes one specifically.

It isn't cheap, but it's WM, and they make very high quality gear.
That said, for the same weight and price, I'd just get a sleeping bag and use it unzipped most of the time, as that will serve double duty.
Don't take anything I say seriously... I certainly don't.
I've been using a down quilt for four years, Old Rag Mountain, by Jacks 'R' Better. If you look at the top of the page and click on LINKS then on manufacturers their link is part way down the list. I think they are a very good team to deal with and very helpful.
Check out the down quilts from wwwenlightenedequipment.com. You won't find a better deal.
