    No cotton.

I have a pair of synth UnderArmour boy short panties that are fairly comfortable, but if I had the funds I'd get wool instead.

I have a hiking skirt with built in undies. I also have compression shorts. I haven't been able to find a good pair of non-cotton undies to wear that won't give me a wedgie.

Ex Officio briefs - was originally suckered in by the packaging "Six weeks, 17 countries, 1 pair of underwear". Not cotton, wash and drip dry easily, and no wedgie.

Whatever is comfy. I take the exofficio (suckered too) and some silky/nylon cheapos from H&M. The H&M's dry quicker. I got the bikini from exoff., but they feel like granny panties. At least they don't ride up.

merino wool when you can find them... they hold much less odor... smartwool, icebreaker,33 are all good brands, but like I said, hard to find.

Most of the nylon/polys make me chafe too badly. I'd rather go commando than wear them.

This is all helpful because all i have is cotton
sooo...gotta look for something else because that would irritate me...

I do have like a skirt with built in spandex shorts so at least that's one down haha.
A bathing suit is actually not a bad idea...i have some boy short bottoms that could definately work.
..I bet wool is soft and doesn't keep much odor, but just from the material I'd probably rain sweat LOL.

Anyone has any comments with thongs???
like is that a DON'T or just straight up HECK no?

actually, the wool soaks up any sweat better than other fabrics! Think very light weight merino wool

I just wore cheap nylon hipsters. You want something that will dry quickly and won't rub your skin when it's under the pack.

Until I can find wool panties, I use Body by Victoria. No cotton and they are a comfy fit.

Patagonia hipsters are great! I haven't had any problems with chaffing and they are lightweight and easy to wash by hand. They are also the only underwear that I have never had a problem with wedgies.... Also if you can get the black, you can use them as your swimming bottoms and have one less thing to carry!

Don't laugh, but those cheerleading "Spanks" work wonders.

I wear the exofficio panties too. Dry quick and are comfortable. Those super thin panti liners are a great thing to use. They weigh next to nothing and it is like having a clean pair of panties every day!

Steer clear of the ExOfficios with lace on them. The lace totally breaks down.

Nike running shorts with the built-in underwear also dry quickly and are light
