Agree with that one! On the other hand, it's really just all eat up with charm, isn't it? The train woke me up both nights I was there, but didn't keep me awake. Nice cozy bed and good food put me right back to sleep.

I can't believe only three people have mentioned Elmer's! That place and man are legendary - do NOT miss it!
Just stayed at Laughing Heart Lodge/Hostel in a private room ($25/nt) for two days. Was shuttled by Chuck Norris (NOBO 2007), who also checked people in at the hostel. Everyone there seemed quite happy, and many (if not most) stayed more than one day. I can't suggest my particular room (room 1), as it was close to the front door and the closest bathroom to the bunkrooms ($15/nt). Definitely nicer than a shelter though! Room was clean, had plenty of hooks, a chair, and a dresser. Bathrooms were squeaky clean, with provided body wash and shampoo. Tankless water heater was able to provide endless hot water to the masses.
Stopped into Hemlock Hollow, and parked my car there overnight. The store and restaurant area looked nice, and the Kinseys were very friendly.
Elmer's can't be beat. Stayed there 2 nights last year; staying there again for a night later this month.
It's a pretty localized motel. Decent and cheap place.
