Default Burningtown Gap or Tellico Road

So, in light of IrishBASTARD/Roadside http://www.whiteblaze.net/forum/show...28-A-t-mugging being mugged a month ago at or near Burningtown Gap, I'm rethinking my idea of leaving a car there. I am now opting for the trail crossing at Tellico Gap. Any advice on which is better in terms of percieved safety from vandalism, road condition, etc. would be helpful. The plan is for late spring, in other words: soon!

    Thanks, JB

LEOs do drive through Tellico Gap often. I've left my vehicle there often. Your car can get broken into anytime, anywhere. Don't make it tempting for crooks.
I'm not really a hiker, I just play one on White Blaze.
