South to North Turn around North to South Non Stop/ has it ever been done?

I have a co worker ask me a question if any one has ever hiked the whole A.T, get to the end , turn around and do it again all in the same year. I told him I knew just the place to find the answer.

Several times. It's called a yo-yo. Barefoot sisters have two books on it "Southbound" & "Walking Home" Well it took them over a year. I think Tack Tarlin did it in a year & know there are others.
