Default 2011 NoBo needs friend in San Antonio, TX

I hiked the Appalachian Trail NoBo in 2011, then moved from Iowa to Texas to take a job. Few friends in the area, and no one who can relate to a thru-hike. Would love to hang with a fellow hiker.

Hey there! I've not yet hiked the trail, but I'm planning to - next year or the year after - just depends on finances and planning. I enjoy hiking and the outdoors, as does my SO. Unfortunately, I've found Texas is not exactly hiker friendly in the way many other places are - there just aren't a lot of trails or public lands (I'm originally from upstate NY so the culture here is very different than what I was used to). Don't get me wrong, there are some, but not a lot. I live in the Canyon Lake area Not far from S.A. and have been trying to find like-minded people as well, not as easy as it sounds.

    Welcome to Texas!
