Default Live and Learn...Just a Reminder

Just a reminder to keep your toe nails cut SHORT!! My boots fit fine..but one toenail got a little longish. Now I'm going to lose it. Two days of hiking, no pain, no discomfort but it obviously got jammed into the front of the boot constantly, got bruised and now I know I will lose it. Bummer. That's something I just don't think about when I'm getting ready to go hiking. Hope I remember next time, but I seem to keep repeating this mistake!

    Just one toenail? LOL

I didn't lose them, but the bruises under my big toe nails are just now fading from our trip in November.

There is an old school new boot fitting trick that requres one to kick a wall hard and if your toes jamb then ego up a half a size

I seem to bruise or lose my toenails in time for open-toe shoe season on a yearly basis.

I like losing my nail, no issues then as it takes forever to grow back. Of course I'd rather keep them if they don't hurt. But I have one big toenail I constantly lose.

Dogs are excellent judges of character, this fact goes a long way toward explaining why some people don't like being around them.
