Default buffalo river trail in May

Its is tick ridden and somewhat overgrown with few views, but if ya need a hike, it'll do. Me and bruchko plus bladerunner hiked the center section of 24 miles or so. Some climbs but all were short and graded for hoss. there were few skeeters and gnats and it was dry with most streams being puddles or dust. potable water at all campsites. only dipped and drank once in one of the crossing streams with water. I recommend the Fall and Winter for this hike. one interesting thing was running into a pride of armadillo. When they sighted us and charged, i was able to clip two of them immediately and that gave the others something to think about.

I am headed there on June 8th. Thanks for the heads-up on the ticks and water.

The only thing better than mountains, is mountains where you haven't been.
