    Default New A.T. Record attempt

    Hi all,

I have decided that this summer I am going to not just break, but shatter my current A.T. record of 18 miles in one day. I am currently soliciting donations to assist with my attempt. If you would like to help out I am in need of someone to meet me at the end of the day with beer and ibuprofen. Monetary donations will also be accepted. If interested please let me know.

Also, I'm not sure exactly when or where I'll have time to hit the trail, so please make sure your schedule is wide open before offering to help.

That would count as "shattering" my old record, right?

Chuckle. I plan to force myself on the trail for miles and miles and miles until it's begging for mercy, breaking its will to live. All forms of tribute and booty, so to speak, will be welcomed from any and all subjects: just place them at my feet as you bow and scrape, and never look me in the eye.
    The more miles, the merrier!

will you have a blog we can follow? will you be carrying a SPOT?
please post the usual color coded map with a pic of you in the corner on a mountain looking into the distance and the blue and red lines and pictures of airplanes, shuttles and trains you may be taking to start and finish. you could include elevations but not necessary.
you should try to get a sponsor!
I'm so confused, I'm not sure if I lost my horse or found a rope.

Really, cool. I've seen him doing good stuff with Habitat for Humanity on TV-- but my God some of his roles have been creepy. Perhaps the biggest regret of my hike was passing Charles Bronson in Hanover and not saying hello. I was a real fan a the time.

Apparently he and Kyra enjoy hiking. I heard they were seen hiking Bear Mtn in Connecticut summer 2010.

Meryl Streep has a big estate in Salisbury - I gather that it's somewhere between the Riga ridge and the Twin Lakes.

I will never know the answer to that question, I always eat it within the first mile or so.
I hold my wife's purse at the mall to stay close to my testes.
