The Appalachian Trail made Fortune's 100 Great things about America. The Blurb says "Untouched since 1832". What does that mean? http://money.cnn.com/interactive/new...une/?iid=HP_LN

It means the guy that wrote it knows nothing about the AT (other than it is a great thing about America).

Maybe it's a sarcastic reference to the trail of tears?

Gibson for me (literally, I have a Gibson cell).
Also like 73 - the Muppets (my dad worked with Jim Henson's Father).

Great post!! I loved so many of them! (Can't believe they included #30 + #45 though!)

I think thats one of the worst "top whatever" lists ever compiled. Oh well, at least Scooby Doo and SNL got some props.

I don't have a Martin, but a 'Sigma Martin'(Martins korean built in 79' like Gibsons Epiphone I guess) and I gotta say it plays better than some new Martins, though my favorite to play is one my Father built modeled after the martin D-18.

The list as a whole is pathetic.

I thought this thread might be about Lone Wolf's razor.
Fear ridges that are depicted as flat lines on a profile map.

    It'll get there.

After looking at that, I have to say where I come from in PA (near Port Clinton), there is a LOT within an hour drive; (not necessarily all on the list, but perhaps should be):
Harley Davidson factory in York PA
Martin guitar factory in Nazareth PA
    Hershey Foods in Hershey
    Crayola factory near Allentown
Appalacian Trail runs right through the center of town
Cabelas (believe it or not, PA's no. 1 tourist attraction)

But then, I live half-way around the world, drive a Honda motorcycle, play a Takemine guitar (made in Japan), eat Snickers, hike on my own designed trail, and shop at the local farmers market. See what happens when you move away? You find out that all is not as you were taught. (except crayons LOL)

Dogs are excellent judges of character, this fact goes a long way toward explaining why some people don't like being around them.

Fiddlehead, have you been away so long you've forgotten to add Yuengling, America's oldest continuously operating brewery, just up the road in Pottsville?
