Default Foothills trail in 4 days

I want to report my first thru of TFT! could have done it in three but was held back by the other person I went with. Honestly, the best trail Ive been on. We went from Oconee to Tablerock. We had great campsites by a river each night. blazed and maintained nicely. I would have liked to see a trash can at the different parking lots we went through. I will be doing this trail again.

    Nice, isn't it?

Good water, lots of camping, no steep climbs, well maintained trail - what's not to like?

Can't agree about the "no steep climbs," but absolutely on the other praises.

A MUCH more civilized month to hike the FT than July or August! October or November? Even better!
