Wait a minute, one of us actually went hiking?? Now I'm jealous

Is Harriman seriously bone dry? I haven't been on the A.T. in a month, but my local trails in CT still have decent water flow, I wouldn't have thought that the A.T. was that bad off right now.

Glad to hear it, I made fun of hiking poles up until the first time I used them, now they're one of the best pieces of gear that I own.

There's a book called, 'House of Leaves', which I'm certain is written by a schizophrenic (but I think is actually written by P.J Harvey's brother). You can read the book twice, once for the main text. And the second time to follow all the footnotes; which are essentially a totally new book.

After following this post all day, seeing it hacked in half and rereading it was essentially the same thing. So awesome.

What? This is the abridged version? geez

I have known LW for many years having met him at SoRuck, Trail Days and he shuttled me a few times. I found him to be a good man who is trustworthy and who stands his ground.

I believe some people here need to learn not to take things so seriously. This is the internet, after all.
Some people take the straight and narrow. Others the road less traveled. I just cut through the woods.

I am deeply offended at your insensitivity! I am going to go and sit outside in the dirt and eat worms!

To pretend that the internet is not real life.... perish the thought!

From the worms point of view that is extremely insensitive.

He goes off the deep end occasionally, but Lone Wolf has been among the wisest half dozen or so posters during my years on White Blaze. His mind does work in subtle ways that not all, apparently, can appreciate.
