At both the NC and MA battleships my favorite place was the Kitchen, even at 10 years old. What can I say, I like giant kettles!

    True story -
Years ago, the hubby and I took both our moms-in-law to Wilmington for a weekend. We toured the battleship with them. (They liked the kitchen too). When we went down below decks to the sleeping quarters, his mom, who was a very sweet, proper lady got all indignant and pointed to the sign that said Berthing Room. She read it as "birthing" and somehow got the idea that women must have been allowed on ship and that was the maternity ward. No kidding!

Might sneak a photo of Daniel in as a substitute for the calendar.
He always likes to joke he's a little behind in something and then flash a very large one (behind that is).
