Blue Belle Homemade Vanilla. The stuff is so good it is worth saying twice.

If forced, I could go for praline-n-cream or butter pecan.

Strawberry Cheesecake or Coffee Heath Bar Crunch. But I'd have to hike right away after a half gallon!

The ice cream shop closest to the 'trail' (it's actually the cobblestone road at that point) in Harper's Ferry has incredible custard. Last Summer after a weekend hike I wanted a root beer float, but hadn't considered how it might work out with custard so I was a bit nervous... Holy crap. Best root beer float ever. I highly recommend one if you're passing through HF, particularly on a hot Summer day.

Call me old fashioned but I would go for Neapolitan, after half gallon you are going to get pretty tired of one flavor.

So where in the world is OZ?
Dogs are excellent judges of character, this fact goes a long way toward explaining why some people don't like being around them.

    For the record-
they no longer have half gallon containers.
1 1/2 quarts of choc chip in 18 mins.
1 pint green choc chip another 8 minutes.
    I have my spoon.
    :-)
