Hey folks just and FYI - I tank in interest occasionally at WB and it's no way about this thread, I find our friendships wonderful. But I am going to take a break and head for the survival forums and hammock forums until after thanksgiving ... WB is down to 45 members daily and well the interest is down - OK a-lot. This is just me... PM's are still connected to my cell and I will answer them as fast as I can...
Dogs are excellent judges of character, this fact goes a long way toward explaining why some people don't like being around them.

The kind that you read about in spam threads

(Wait a second, if I bought a kitchen from a spammer and used it to cook spam would that be a double pun? )

Admit it, you're just going out in the woods for a couple days to hunt down a thanksgiving turkey!

I shot my own turkey last year, didn't go well, I'm never allowed in that supermarket chain again.

Speaking of killing turkeys with wit, your thanksgiving avatar is great.

Unfortunately, I gave the Gray Blazer to my niece. You can ride in my F-150. I gave some of my Barnwood framed AT photos to the owners. I need to give them some more. I won't download any more data dumps. I promise. Peace out.
I'm not really a hiker, I just play one on White Blaze.

96 degrees Fahrenheit sounds so much hotter then 36 degrees Celsius.

Nice thing about the road is that there were a few good views northward to Glastenbury and Stratton. Those and the views from Prospect overlook were so-so, a little hazy in the area. On the crisp side, with some lingering traces of snow and some ice above 2350' or so.

That north end of the Greylock Range deserves its reputation - it's White Mountain steep and rocky for a good half mile or so. Very pretty trail.

I have now traversed the Greylock Range on the A.T., as well as the lower Taconics straddling the CT/MA border. Wanted to do Killington today, but got too late a start. It was pretty chilly today, too. Maybe we'll get a warm one next weekend? We'll see.
so.. you walked on the road more than on the trail.....
