Nothing to do with the AT. Belongs, perhaps, in the "Other Trails" forum?

Or, perhaps, more fittingly in some dog forum?

I will cautiously agree with Rain Man but should say that half the stuff on here doesn't have to do specifically with the AT - - many posts are about things that involve the outdoors (down jackets, stoves, liquor). This story is about a pathetic (IMO) outdoor guy who deserted his friend (his dog) and some really great outdoor guys and gals who rescued the dog for a better life. I'd let it fly R.M. - there have certainly been worse threads.

Good ending. Those rescuers have a friend for life.

Don't understand that at all. The dog would die before ever leaving his injured side. Glad to see she went to a good home.
