Would anyone like to donate a old pocket rocket or similar stove to a current southbounder? It would be greatly appreciated

why not an alcohol stove. some guys on here make them.

yeah - all you need is a can of old el paso chilies (my preferred can vs cat food) , a pocket knife, and about 30 minutes to make a perfectly good stove - when it get's cold, I do transition to a pocket rocket but if the dude is on a budget, the alky stove should still get the thru done.

If you don't have money for a stove then you should go home. If you are just being cheap then use a cat food can and a hole punch.

Thru hikers are not charity cases, you are on vacation.

I had a alcohol stove but some know it all section hiker broke it. I've been cooking on fires and can make a simmer cat if I need. With the weather turning I was going to try and eat more warm meals while taking less time to cook. Didn't say I was a charity case but there are people out there that do help instead of putting in their two cents. A lot of the SOBOs and nobos have met me on the trail this year and some that are done may want to help. It's no big deal though my trip will continue and I will adapt.
