Default Car Camping Help for Newbie in Boulder

Hello all. I just relocated to Boulder from Palm beach, FL and I am very happy to be here. I move into my new place on DEC 1st and want to sleep in my truck out in the wilderness until my move in date. I have gear and a tent but like the back of my SUV just fine. Any suggestions for a good spot near boulder? Thanks!!

Wish I would have seen this earlier (was in Utah)..but plenty of USFS camping for free around the Hessie/ 4th of July TH. The weather has been mild and not much snow up there yet.

If you don't mind paying, Golden Gate CAnyon SP has some nice camping and hiking. About 1 hr away.
