Default Water situation at Icewater Springs?

Does anyone know the curent water situation at Icewater Springs shelter? My roommate and I are headed out in the morning for his first overnight trip, and when we made shelter reservations, they told us to pack our own water. I know that last time I was at that shelter, the spring was flowing strong, and this weekend's forecast is calling for Mid 60's temps tomorrow and Saturday. I really don't want to have to carry 3 full liters of water for the whole trip. Any update on the H2O situation is appreciated.
May your mileage always be higher than your post count.

FWIW, I've not been there recently, but cannot remember ever seeing the spring dry there. And, FWIW, when there is a dry spring it is usually posted on this page: http://www.nps.gov/grsm/planyourvisit/temproadclose.htm

Finally, FWIW, I rarely get good trail info from the back country office. I usually get told I cannot walk that far in a day, or that site is crowed (and it isn't) or some other useless information that has no bearing on real hiking.

If you're concerned about that particular shelters water, it sounds like you might not be going too far. If your only doing an out & back from NFG, you can carry a few liters from NFG to Ice Water Springs with no problem. It's an easy hike & only 4 or so miles. I personally have never seen that spring Not flowing? Good luck & Happy Hiking!

It was flowing at a bit faster than 1 liter/minute the day after Thanksgiving from a pipe which terminated on the AT south of the shelter.

To my knowledge that spring never goes dry
There are so many miles and so many mountains between here and there that it is hardly worth thinking about

Always flowing, but quite often frozen solid......hence the name.....
