Just got done watching the film and I really liked it. I loved how there were all different types of hikers with different goals. You have the thru-hiker, the section hiker, the ultra-hiker, etc. Its a 2 hour long film, but there was never a dull moment. Billy Goat and Scott Williamson are pretty cool dudes.

    Spoiler**

I couldn't stop laughing at the part where Scott is basically hiking through a forest fire and he keeps saying "Man, it is hot!". Then gets to the Mexico/Canadian border, "Well, halfway...."

Got it yesterday. Wait is over.
It's well done. If you have thru hiked or dreamed of a thru hike, you will like it.
Some highs and lows and thought provoking trail philosophy expressed by a small group of PCT hikers whose journeys are followed during a hiking season, including Scott Williamson and Billygoat, who are major PCT repeat offenders. Nicely filmed, with many "interviews" that sometimes seemed to be filmed by the hikers themselves, of themselves. PCT scenery, wildlife, Sierra snow hiking, mosquitoes, gorgeous views.

I still treasure randomly running into Scott on the PCT in September of 2008 in Yosemite when I was doing an 8-day loop with my son in the high country. I thought I recognized him from Scott Herriott videos (clean shaven, poly shirt, running shorts, small pack). I said "is your name Scott?" He said, "yes, do I know you?". We shook hands, exchanged greetings, and I let him get on his way SOBO, leaving my son and I in his wake.
An historic moment to be sure.

For those with the DVD - what does the extra 7 minutes of footage exclusive to the DVD contain? The extras on the direct download are "It's like a puzzle," "Trail maintenance," "Climbing Forrester," "Saufley's - The story," and "Scott's Gear."

Trovar - The digital download is missing an additional Billygoat interview. Much of which we'll be releasing in the coming months via YouTube clips, etc. we had a file conversion issue that kept us from releasing it in HD on the digital download.

QiWiz - Thank you for your kind words and patience. Hugely appreciate it.

Our new website and facebook page are up. More fun clips and extras are on the way. Happy trails!

Thanks for letting me know. I hope you'll find it in your heart to release more Scott Williamson footage; to be honest I'm not concerned at all with the others and would pay extra to see more of Bink!

Fab. I’m getting that thing. Meanwhile, I’m scouring sections to avoid my personal bugaboo, the AMS scourge.

Finally got to watch the DVD. It was well made. I enjoyed the hikers various stories and perspectives. I especially enjoyed the philosophical perspectives of Mountain Goat and the French guy. And of course the other star of the show was the incredible scenery. Wow.

Good documentary that builds momentum and pulls you in along the way. It was definitely worth the wait. One of the best trail docs ever made.

Thanks for all the kind comments. This has been a passion project for many years and it took so long because we weren't willing to compromise.

Eric Ryback traveled out for the premiere. He signed my personal copy of "High Adventures" and said "This film is a gift to the PCT."

All the blisters, hours of logging footage, thousands of dollars and memories of toiling over every edit just kind of evaporated.

Heard about the doc from this thread.

Really enjoyed watching it. In this day and age of "reality" shows and "reality" documentaries. This film stands out as authentic. Great work from all involved.

We got our DVD and watched it. It's very good. I thought I remembered a scene from seeing the unfinished version at kickoff in 2009, with Scott crossing the scariest looking creek I've ever seen. I was waiting to see that again but all there was was him talking about the creek he just crossed, no footage of him crossing it. Did I imagine all that or was it in there originally?
Some knew me as Piper, others as just Diane.

Netflix is unlikely for several years.

We're working on iTunes, festival submissions and Bluray format at this time.
