Being an aging Deadhead has to be difficult in the 21st century. One either needs to become a Parotthead with Jimmy Buffet and Caribbean "mañana music, or trade in the 30 year old tye dye shirts for polyester leisure suits for Barry Manilow.

Either way, a very difficult position to find oneself in...

    bwahaha!

Wait a minute, AT Traveller, are you saying Parrottheads are in a preferable spot? Seems infinitely more pathetic to me. Then again, I noticed Jimmy Buffet has been covering a few Grateful Dead tunes pretty regularly for years now. So there's that.

I just laugh when people call the Dead horrible music. They obviously wouldn't know "good" music if it slapped them in their clueless faces.

These are probably the same people that jam Toby Keith and/or Bruce Springsteen.
Not all those who wander are lost.

    Like the Dead,
    Loathe Phish.

I considered trying to go until I saw Trey was playing.
He alone will muck up the show and ruin it for all.

Though his inclusion was a shock Trey wasn't the deal breaker for me, it was the location of these shows. Chicago seems like hell on earth to me. I would gladly return to Colorado or California or some other beautiful area to see these guys but Chicago just isn't gonna happen. I look forward to seeing what other avenues will be available to get these shows opened up to those who won't or can't go in person. Got my fingers crossed for a live video feed.

The new book just arrived. Preorders back in December, it's been a long time coming. As far as I know, this is the first book Bill ever wrote about his Deal. Look forward to reading this. You can get it from, you know where, from you know who..."if ya don't know....you better ask somebody" enjoy.
