That's right - the post office in Twin Lakes CO is closing June 06. Contact the General Store at 719-486-2196 regarding how to send resupply packages there

Several B & Bs in twin Lakes that probably would hold a package too.

Hopefully the general store will hold them as long as hikers spend some money there The store and PO are (were) in the same building.

In 2011, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the store stocked fuel canisters.

I have since emailed the store's new owners - Carl and Kathy Bryan. Here is part of Carl's response: "Yes! Please mail your packages to us. We are posting on forums, Facebook and the website. Mail to the general store, not the post office. We have msr and jet boil [canisters]. I plan to have an overstock of that because you can't mail it." Note that packages can still be sent to the store but not by US mail; use UPS instead. They also have a website now that has a lot of good information. http://www.twinlakesgs.com.
