Default Heading southbound from NJ. Curious about timing and gear.

    Hey,

I'm new to distance hiking and I'm determined to walk from New Jersey to North Carolina this summer. The departure date I have in mind is the last week in July, is that too late? The pack that I have currently is a Ridgeline 65 - Will that pack be able to sustain the journey. Any other advice is also welcome. Thanks!

It's not to late to start and the pack will be fine.
