Default On the CT - Making gear modifications

I've taken a good bit out of my pack. Now, I only have what I really use on a daily basis and I make my duck tape be the end all for "emergencies" Lots at good bit of weight from a not too heavy pack. I did segments 2-3-4-5 with the extra stuff. I maintained about 18 miles a Day, but I'd like to do more.I feel like my pack is slowing me down. So hears the question, can I remove my alternate pair of shoes from my pack? Should I?

    See you all in Breckenridge!

I never carry alternate shoes unless lot's of river crossings are on the agenda.

At camp, take out the insoles so they can dry a bit, put loose shoes back on - feels like another pair

I say leave them at home - I've done fine with a single pair of trail shoes.
