Default Stolen Back Pack in Hanover NH RECOVERED, help locate owner

On Sunday evening, July 14, 2013, a hiker was having dinner at Molly's Restaurant in Hanover when his pack was stolen from outside. Hanover PD recovered it yesterday. We do not know the hiker's trail name, or if he was nobo or sobo, but we are not able to locate him in the area as of today. We learned he made some gear purchases at Zimmerman's/North Face and was back on the trail as of Monday 7/15/13.

His name is Simon, white male, 21 years old, from Munster, Germany. He's traveling with another guy named Karl.

If anyone sees them, please have them call Hanover, NH PD at (603) 643-2222.

    Thanks,

    Michael Evans

Speaking from the perspective of a 15-year resident of Hanover (tho I've been traveling and away for quite some time), I just wanted to say that I think it's great that a member of the HPD knows about Whiteblaze, contributes here, and passes along stuff that hikers might want to know. The HPD has always been great with the thru-hiker community, and this goes back years ago, long before Hanover's relatively new incarnation as this uber-friendly Trail Town. In any case, thanks to Officer Evans and his colleagues in the Department.

Awesome! Thanks Hanover PD! Hanover was definitely one of my favorite trail towns! Also, I ate at Mollies, so that could have just as easily been me. Although, I still don't understand how you have a college town without a liquor store, but I just had to hike over to VT to get some booze Regardless, well done sir!
