I have not, but your post made me curious about the program. Here is an informational link for anyone else who may be curious:

Great, thanks for posting. I also found this article http://www.dailyjournal.net/view/sto...arrior-Hikers/
Interesting... this is the first i've heard of it. Is there anyone on Whiteblaze who's actually done a hike with this group? I'm thinking about putting in an application, but honestly if I'm required to hike with a group, or stick to a specific schedule, that would deter me... Part of the draw of walking the Marine Corps out of my system on the AT is being able to do it on my own time and in my own way. Has anyone applied for "class of '14" on here?
Today, Aug 7th the Warrior Hikers are in Manchester Center, VT at Green Mountain House. Just like any other group of hikers there is a predictable attrition rate. I believe they started with 14 hikers and 6 remain. There is a certain amount of stress due to a preplanned schedule of events at VFW's along the trail. But, the remaining hikers are excited to have reached the 3/4 mark.
