There once was another limerick thread
With many attempts embeded
They were so divine
You might say real fine
To augment the ones here instead

Find the LIGHT STUFF at QiWiz.net
The lightest cathole trowels, wood burning stoves, windscreens, spatulas,
cooking options, titanium and aluminum pots, and buck saws on the planet
They blazed it pure white
I came I saw I coloured
Now get over it
"rollin home rollin home
by the waterside I will rest my bones
listen to the river sing sweet songs
to rock my soul." Grateful Dead
Now we talk about Aficion
Who has a poetic affliction
Oh how fun to play
With rhymes to say
But now must work on his diction
Think when talking, do not put the brain in neutral but keep it engaged
"You have brains in your head/You have feet in your shoes/You can steer yourself in any direction you choose." - Dr. Seuss
the sun and I will soon
rear our wondrous heads anew
cabbage in the garden
wet man walking quick
dripping clothes skin shining pale
end not nearing soon
the roots and rocks are hell
do you really think I fell?
they took me down
right to the ground
how many times I cannot tell.
I long to sleep in my tent
Oh how many nights and money would be spent
When I hike the "Trail"
And complete without fail
But spend the money I save on my rent
"You have brains in your head/You have feet in your shoes/You can steer yourself in any direction you choose." - Dr. Seuss
A couple I wrote on my thru this past year:
New Jersey:
While hiking today I saw a bear,
Although, it was just sitting there.
Not in a bush or up in a tree,
It was plopped down right on the AT!
I banged my poles and shouted real loud,
The bear looked at me and stood up proud.
It looked me in the eye and said with a grin,
“Would you like some berries, my thru-hiker friend?”
New York:
Swamps and mosquitoes are nothing but ****,
New York, I wish you were put on a ship,
I’d sail you off to Germany or Turkey,
And feed you nothing but ramen and jerky.
I hope the next state will be better,
Dear Appalachian Trail, forgive this harsh letter.

I'm glad I'm not
on Noah's ark
With wolvwerines
and badgers too
who knows what they
might do to you
I'm glad to be
