Default PCT Hikers are in trouble

The Cascade Mountains have record snow for this time of year. Several PCT hikers are in trouble -- Matt Marqiotta and Kyla Arnold became caught in the snow near Mt. Adams and called for rescue last night. As of last report, the rescue team hopped to reach them today (Tuesday). Another PCT hiker, Alejandre Wilson has been reported missing in the Goat Rocks Wilderness area. http://www.kgw.com/news/Portland-man...226008961.html

Dang. My thoughts are with a favorable outcome.
Fear ridges that are depicted as flat lines on a profile map.

Hope they stay safe and make it out OK

FYI - most know, but "Pint" left trail before weather hit.
I'm so confused, I'm not sure if I lost my horse or found a rope.

Hope all ends well. Hope "Dakota Joe" sees this before he starts pedaling toward California from Florida....

You posted in the wrong forum. I didn't know the PCT and Pinhoti trail paralleled each other.

But yeah, this is why PCT thru-hikers should aim to be finished before October.

Or being winning to wait it out. This storm was no surprise, hikers were writing about it for days. Hope everyone is found or stumbles out of the woods safe.
