I have been looking for a while for a real knife.
A light neck or sheath knife, drop point rounded blade that I could use for skinning, light enough to put in a pack, but with a heavy enough blade to baton wood.
I think I have found it.
I really like the blade shape but have yet to use it.
Should be a perfect skinning knife with no nooks and cranies for bacteria to grow.
A bit short for batoning wood, but it would do in a pinch.
Light at 2.6oz for just the knife, 4.2 with the kydex sheath.
You could probably craft a leather sheath
Not sure about the edge though.
Also got a smiths 1 oz sharpener while I was at it
