I am new to the whole guy line and tarp setup, but have been practicing in the backyard with some knots and getting the hang of it. I am starting large with a MSR Zing and will scale down to the back packing scale as I get better at it :-)
Up first is playing with my new MSR Zing Tarp. It is a very large tarp I plan on using it for car camping. The MSR Zing is great except for the tent stakes and the guy lines. The guy lines seem short and kind of thin. I would like to replace them with something beefier that can stand up to harsher weather. This is for car camping and weight is not issue, having it hold up in windy conditions is.
I did replace the MSR Ground Hog with Snow Peak stakes so Kelty Triptease line seems kind of thin for this application. Any recommendations for a reflective chord larger than 2.75mm with reflective striping?
TIA
