In a word. Yes. There are not many places on the AT where you can not find trees to use.

It's not called the Long Green Tunnel for no reason. Tons of thru-hikers hang the whole way.

not a problem. some will say the whites, but i had no problem. if you want to stay in a hut ask to borrow a pad or just hike on to below tree line. i only stayed in madison hut. others will say the smokies, but the shelters are so large you can hang inside, i did.
I'm so confused, I'm not sure if I lost my horse or found a rope.
Admittedly, I've never thru-hiked. That said, in all the sections I've done, I never had a problem finding somewhere to hang my hammock.

We need to follow "Go Green concept". Government not allowed to cut trees.
I did Springer to Hot Springs in "08" and I had no problem finding trees, I even hung a couple nights in the Smokies.
