I met up with them on Saturday and ran for 10 miles. Had a chance to talk to Scott and he seemed to be in good spirits and really focused. It's good to see. Others said he looks rough, but beyond the dirt and smell of thru, he ran strong. Took it easy on the ups and pick up the pace on easy down hills and flats. I ended up doing a total of 20 miles over fairly pedestrian terrain and I felt it the next day - can't imagine doing 50 a day. Ended up talking to Karl Meltzer a lot and letting Scott focus.

As far as food goes, I think you may need to contact his support team ahead of time. He ate vegan chocolate/energy bites, whole wheat muffins and perogies during the time I was with the group - people he knew were dropping off items though.
