I am thinking about getting the Big Agnes 15degree Grouse Mountain sleeping bag for section hiking in ga with a hammock. Anybody have this bag or know anything about it, negative or positive?

Grizzly Bear,
Just finihsed a section hike in GSMNP and used a Grouse Mountain bag...I like the rectangular size vs mummy. Plenty of room to twist and turn. Bought a Q-core air mattress to go with it. Kept me plenty warm. Had a little difficulty getting the air mattress in the sleeve and getting the strap over the end of the air mattress to "secure" it in place but this was probably due to me being a novice. Overall very pleased with the bag. This was my first outing on the AT and using this bag.
How cold did it get at night when you were there? I am just curious whether it got anywhere near the temp rating or not.
Coldest it got was 38 degrees. Sorry for the delay in response.
Recommend you get a UQ and a TQ (Under Quilt and Top Quilt) to use instead of the pad and or sleeping bag. More comfortable to use with a hammock and a UQ will compress much better than a pad.
