Can anyone direct me to a site that gives hiking distances from point to point. I'm doing a bunch of section hikes and it would be helpful in timing things?

I don't know of any such site off hand, but likely someone does. I would suggest getting a trail guide, either the Compainon from the ATC or "The A.T. Guide" by Awol.
The AT guide is handy as it also has the trail profile which could help in timing things since that will help give you an idea of the relative difficult (keeping in mind it is always harder then it looks, since profiles lie). And with the guide you just have to look at the distance at the start and finish of your proposed section and subtract the two numbers.
You will be needing one of these two guides for your hikes anyway, so might as get one sooner then latter.
