Default Decorative Maps of the AT

    All,

I'm looking to give my hiking adventures more of a presence in my home decor and one of the things that came to mind was a map of the AT end to end (that I could highlight with a red-sharpie as I complete my section hikes). There has to be a long map of the AT somewhere out there, right? I don't need a topo-map, but one that would be a good visual of the AT at a high level (I'm thinking a 4-5' x 12-18" would be good). I think vertical orientation would be good, but horizontal would be cool too.

Anyone ever heard or seen these?

    Thanks!

    Clay

Me, too, and my father-in-law framed it for me. Hangs in the library. I use sticky notes to track my section hikes.

I bought the ATC AT Map today mounted on foam board for $14 at an outfitter in Purcellville, Va.

National Geographic's wall map of the Appalachian Trail is ideal for fans and hikers of this magnificent national scenic trail.

Developed in cooperation with the Appalachian Trail Conservancy, this beautiful poster, measuring 48"x18", shows the entire length of the trail from Maine to Georgia. A unique elevation profiles highlight the trail's peaks and valleys and an informative mileage chart shows the distance between key locations. Also highlighted on the map are National Forests, National Park Service lands, State Forests and Parks, and major highways and interstates. Points of interest include Appalachian Trail information centers and shelters.
    Backpacking light, feels so right.
