Which part is the funny part? The bit where your unleashed dog goes after a wild pony?

Well that video certainly won't help everyone's already-negative opinion of dogs on the trail. Unfortunate.

....quick, somebody post a cute puppy picture.

...that dog has just as much right to hike the trail as the ponies do, and I don't like strange beast lickin' behind my ears either...least till after the second date.

Perfect...anybody see the one where the puppy crawls into the car seat with the baby...pretty cool how puppys and dogs cross over and take to humans as part of their pack.

For his own good, the ankle biter needs a good kick in the teeth.

If you think THAT is cute and/or funny, what do think when your dog acts like that towards other dogs/people. And don't say "he'd never do that", because he obviously will.

I'm all for dogs enjoying the trail with their owners, my dog loves it. But if my dog ever did that, he'd have a "come to Jesus" moment shortly after, & probably be banished to boring hikes on unpopular trails.

Unacceptable, and most definitely not funny. Especially here on WB where this a huge crowd of people who don't like dogs on trails... Not doing the other dog owners any favors.

Not cool! Dog could have been stomped. Now I'd like some cheese for my wine please.

Being both a horse and dog owner ( and also own a boarding kennel). I'm seeing this dog as trying to be very tolerant of the pony, it's the pony that invaded the dogs space. Now if he had been out chasing the wild ponies, thats another story. Same scenario with my animals... horse at fault. Your going to say, but this is a wild pony... still knows the concept of space...mama taught him. Dog just reinforced it.

It's up to us human beings to set all the animals of the world straight and start acting civilized; we'll just have to re-engineer them. http://io9.com/the-radical-plan-to-e...ies-1613342963

As soon as I saw the video I knew what was coming.

Dogs should be on leash when wildlife is nearby to protect both.
I also think its not appropriate to state that the dog should be kicked or stomped.

    Just my opinion.

In rewatching maybe we shouldn't blame dog or pony but the person in the shadows feeding the ponies. Feeding the wildlife doesn't make them "good citizens".

Hikers seem to hate the word NO.

    All that HYOH stuff.

The trouble I have with campfires are the folks that carry a bottle in one hand and a Bible in the other.
You never know which one is talking.
