Default Need comment on water - Atkins/Bland VA

I would like to "fill in a hole" I have on my AT section hike between Atkins, VA and Bland, VA. I am thinking of hiking either late October or early November. I have not kept up with the trail conditions this year. How is the water situation in SW VA this year? It has been an extremely wet year here in Kentucky but I'm not sure about Virginia.

I noticed no one has replied to your question so I'll give it an educated guess. I live in just across the line in North Carolina and I can report that rain has been fairly abundant this summer. I haven't hiked that particular section this year but I would imagine water shouldn't be a huge issue especially in the fall unless we have a really dry spell between now and then. That being said, that section is a little scarce on sources so hopefully someone else will chime in. Wish I could be more help.
Section hiker on the 20 year plan - 2,078 miles and counting!
