Default NJ/NY weeklong hike, starting 9/20/14

I realize this is last-minute planning but I think I can sneak away from work for a week. As I wasn't able to join Rain Man in June I'm thinking of following in his footsteps starting at Rt 94 in Vernon NJ heading north. He laid out a good, moderate schedule in his thread:

Anyone interested in coming along? Will the leaves have started changing? Any advice?

    TIA!

Snacktime and I are hiking in NJ that week, but not where you're going to be I suspect. A shame we didn't meet you on RM's hike!

Rain Man: is rough camping permitted in Waywayanda State Park? I see you camped there but all I can find online refers to group camping.

SH, we camped (with RainMan) at the Park's sites....a couple of miles into the park and from where you'd come down on the blue blaze trail from the shelter. I don't believe there was camping permitted elsewhere.

Looks like I'll finally be able to head out this afternoon. Had to work this weekend, a heck of a way to start a vacation!

If anyone is out there please say "hi". I'll be the slow, big guy.
