    Default twenty or thirty mile hike

    i want to do a 20 or 30 mile section hike on the at some where in ga tn or nc what is the best hike in the area

    I kinda like Hot Springs to Erwin, but that might be longer then 20-30 miles. Hiawassee, GA to Franklin, NC would be a good stretch too. (Obviously, you'd actually start and finish at road crossings near these towns.) Then of course, there is Springer to Neels gap which is about 30 miles. But be sure to wait until it's not so hot and humid out

    I'm partial to the Smokies...
    A nice two night loop hike that includes a section of the AT is to hike from Fontana to Eagle Creek, and up Eagle Creek to Campsite #97. Second day, finish climbing Eagle Creek to the AT and hike back toward Fontana spending the 2nd night at Mollies Ridge Shelter. 3rd day, hike the rest of the AT to Fontana, stopping by the Shuckstack 60' Fire Tower on your way back down.
