Speer Top Blanket or JRB No Sniveller?
I've been collecting info from both sources, and I'm not sure which way to go here - the Top Blanket, overstuffed, has 2.8" loft for 18 oz, but is only 6-3 long and is not as wide as the JRB. The JRB has more function and is wider, but I'm really looking at a quilt for exclusive hammock use. I'm also not sure I like the continous baffles on the JRB - the Speer has the down more grouped, so to say. About $50 price difference in favor of the Speer, as well as a couple of ounces.
go with jacksrbetter,i have a speer very narrow,i would not buy another speer quilt, going for jackrbetter one day when i get the money neo

Yeah - I look up every day hoping to see something like that falling. Still no luck, but I'm hopeful.
I'm happy with the JRB quilts, but I haven't used a Speer top blanket so I can't compare them directly. However, I have a PeaPod that's well-made so I'm sure you'll be pleased with the quality of either piece.
Depending on your hiking style, don't underestimate the convenience of wearing the NS as a poncho around camp. That's come in handy a number of times for me.
