    Default I don't get it...tensioning the elastics?

I am reviewing the Hennessy site for installing the undercover/pad. What's with the "tensioning the elastic section" Is there somewhere else I can look for a clearer picture. Do I really need to do that? Hopefully, I am making it harder than it really is.....Thanks

    Hi mash_tun,
I am sure someone here has that system, and knows the setup.

hi... i've got the HH ULB Asym, but use a JRB down underquilt (vs HH foam pad thing.) not sure what your question is, but if you rephrase it, i might be able to help...

also, if you're just starting out and need good advice, there are three sites you've got to visit at least once...

just jeff's site (backtothewoods dot com?)
    risk's site (imrisk dot com?)
sgt rock's hiking headquarters (self explanatory)

all are excellent resources for hammockers, and jeff's got a bunch of pictures of all kinds of closeups to help set stuff up.

But there aren't any detailed pics of the elastics that I know of. There are a few in this BGT report:

And there are videos here that might answer your question:

Default I just picked up an undecover

I have been using my Hennessy for awhile and decided to pick up the undercover/pad so I could take it into colder temps. I went to the Hennessy website to watch the installation videos. One of the videos is called "Tensioning the elastics". I am not sure what they are doing with the side tie outs. The video is kinda dark and grainy. I think they are looping the tie out through another D ring and then just tying off at the top. Then they attach another line to the extra D ring which attaches to a stake. I am not clear on how they are tying and looping.
