Question Where oh where to hike?

I'm thinking about an overnight (or two) after Trail Days. Could be up to 100 mi. north of Damascus--or maybe between Damascus and Sam's Gap. Looking for 1. in/out from safe parking, 2. 10-20 miles of hiking, 3. area with fewest thruhikers, 4. where it's' still cool (55-65) during the day, and 5. (here's the clincher) relatively little elevation change. I'm wondering about Grayson Highlands? SNP? Those of you who love to figure out these things, have at it!

my bet is that grayson highlands and SNP will be busy; grayson from trail days folks, and SNP because it is always busy in the spring. why not do SW VA, say around Gods Thumbprint or Sinking Creek or Catawba valleys. Perfect weather that time of the year there, and not too much elevation change. or damascus to erwin wouldnt be as busy, and is a nice hike without a whole lot of elevation change.
The only thing better than mountains, is mountains where you haven't been.
