Sherando Lake Camping

My wife and I are planning to go camping here next weekend but after reading some sites we have found on the web, we are worried about finding the area full on Friday because we have a 6 hour drive to get there and do not want to be disappointed. Does anyone know if this place fills up on late October weekends. We would get there by friday afternoon. Thanks.

I'd think getting there by the afternoon you should be fine. Also, another campground further south near the Natural Bridge area is Cave Mtn Lake.

Well, instead of worrying if we will get a site, we dicided to camp in a private campground. We will be camping just west of Crabtree Falls off of route 56.
