    Default Planning a Hike...advice needed

    Hey folks.

I'm planning to do Springer north in May (week after trail days). I'm hoping to make it to Franklin, NC and then to get back to Gainesville, GA to catch a train.

My first question is how long at an average pace should I plan to make it to Franklin? From what I can tell it's anywhere from 8 to 12 days. Also, to get back to Gainesville from Franklin it looks like I can rent a car...is a shuttle out of the question?

Yes, it is, maybe a little more or a little less depending on your pace.
