Ron Haven's Budget Inn

i heard this Ron Haven guy is a con artist.

About a month ago I needed a shuttle from a campground about 12 miles or so from Franklyn. I had just finished a long walk, was tired and hungry and it was way after sundown, dark, about 9:00 in the evening. When I called the number in the guide, the answerer said Ron had already gone home for the evening and so was likely having dinner or relaxing but said he would call anyway and call me back to let me know. He did, Ron would and very shortly he showed up in his large whit van, in considerably better humor than I would have had if our roles were reversed.

But the best part of that experience was his charge for that 25 mile or so round trip, now near 10:00 PM...when I politely asked him, asked, he just smiled politely and said it was free!

Whitefoot, if you have any remaining honor at all, you owe this man at least a personal PM apologizing, if not an open apology here. He is certainly NOT a con artist!

Nothing but good things to say about Ron! He drove us around town, told us great stories and let us know what to do while in town.


Thanks to Ron for all he does for every hiker he comes across and thanks to his wife for putting up with it all ...... ...... she is one great woman!

Everyone has thier own opinion about eveything and I respect that.My opinion is Ron Haven is a great person in every way I know.I have styed in his place several times.Always class AAA service for me and all I saw.

speaking of ignorance, if you examined the context of my above post, which referred to my economic situation, it was not a complaint, but rather a defense against yet another anal sore lynch mobber like you who attempted to generalize me beyond a factual basis. i was generous to even reply to such an anal sore attack.
