    Default Just Jim

Has anyone heard from or seen Just Jim? I ran into him at Neels Gap back in Feb, and I see his online journal is now gone.

Just curious if he's still on the trail.

    Hey Phreak!!

It's funny because I just came on here for the Hell of it tonight. I just had ankle surgery last Friday to repair torn tendons. I was trying to help an injured hiker (Virginia Slim) north of Winding Stair Gap and I ended up taking a really bad spill and tore up my ankle pretty bad. I kept going, but the ankle got worse, and I got off at Davenport Gap. I took off my journal because I am pretty frustrated right now and I can't even think about the trail without getting depressed. Anyway, I am in Maine and I am hobbling around and going to physical therapy every day. It was great to meet you in Georgia! Take care

Why didn't you bring some of that toasty weather north with you?

Watch the ice. Snow today, on the ice. In case you forgot how fun the footing can be...
