My 17 (almost 18) yr old son is looking for young people/person to hike SW Va., AT, 3-5-7 days in mid July, Jefferson NF area. He's athletic, fit. Available 8-22 July.

HeY Im 30 So im not to close to his age. But would be willing to go with him. Maybe we can round up a group.

Do you know other people? It would probably be more fun as a group. I was sent some suggestions for route: Fox Creek to Damascus, about 55 mmiles--would probably take 5 days or so. He's a pretty mature kid, and in good shape, but has never overnight backpacked before (although has canoed in canada for 3 week stretch). He has a stove, water purifier. We'd need to round up backpack and boots for him.
