Here are about 60 clips on the AT/PCT and ADT, plus some of my other garbage if you dont want to buy any, but god knows I need you to buy them right now.

that should keep you occupied for a few days.

Hiking is expensive after you are done...for reelz...

Fiddlehead's "Really Living" is great. It's about Team Triple Crown's triple crown in one year attempt. It's a lot of fun.

There's a good CDT video by Savant that is a lot of fun.

For the PCT there are all the class year videos that will give you a good idea of what that trail is like. You can download those off the internet, but I don't have the URL. Weathercarrot's are very good. I haven't seen the others.

Good introductory films on the AT and CDT by Mark Flagler (www.flaglerfilms.com)

Walking With Freedom and Walking West With Freedom are there.

All the clips are free, obviously.

when she was in monson me. talking to her dad on the pay phone you could see the reciever? (lever or whatever) taped down. and then when they met slackpacks girlfriend down south and he said only 600 miles to go,it looked like they were sitting in front of the hot springs post office. i think they shot alot of stuff out of order. it was fun to watch though.

Yeah, Trailtalker and I was going to watch that one the other day but threw in that one about the PCT instead. I was not thrilled with it. I cant remember the name of it. About three or four dudes that set out from England or someplace and started off on a bad foot and well, just downhill from there. Especially the dude that only had 62 miles left on it and QUIT...

Ever see the movie "White Wolves"? It's a late 80's-early 90's movie (don't know exact date) about a bunch of high schoolers hiking with an instructor somewhere out west. (Slight plot spoiler) the instructor gets badly hurt and the teens have to work together to survive and get help. And yes, there's an actual white wolf involved. It's a "Disney" type movie, whether you think that's good or bad. I enjoy it.

Nope, I don't know the exact setting but it looked like the Rockies. Lots of beautiful scenery. Much more remote than the AT, which is a big part of the plot line... they have no easy exit.

Ha, I remember that movie. The instructor fell off a cliff while saving a student from the same fate. Looked painful

I own Trek, Southbounders, and 2000 Miles to Maine. Trek gives a good feel for social dynamics; Southbounders accurately depicts the physical nature - shelters, trail condition, etc; and I've always liked 2000 Miles to Maine. jmo

Here's a good one about going from St. Louis, over the Rockies, through the Cascades and back. Some river travel, horseback riding and hiking (one of the participants regularly hiked 25+ MPD it is estimated).
