Did they ever make the Mt Washington pads in blue?
I found one that someone had thrown in the paper bin at the recycle center. It is in perfect condition and reminds me of the Mt Washington pad that I used to have - but its blue.

+100 internet points for making the most vague post on the board! Way to not post a gear question in the gear forums or make the title 'Mt Washington pads'
in any event, i didn't know they came in a color other than blue.
up over the hills, theres nothing to fear
theres a pub across the way with whisky and beer
its a lengthy journey on the way up to the top
but it ain't so bad if you have a great big bottle o'scotch

Mine was grey like one of the posters -
So one poster claims they only came in grey - and one poster disputes that claim and says they came in assorted colors.
It looks feels and rolls up like my old grey - so I am going to say that it is. Not that it matters - its a good pad no matter what type it is.
Hey Totem -- how would you know anything about a Mt Washington - your not old enough (or mannered enough).
In your case, it would appear that growing in age has nothing to do with growing in manners... that said... in the 8 years i've been an outdoor enthusiast, i've encountered plenty of old gear. My first backpack was a military surplus ALICE pack that was decades older than me. My backpack was on a warriors back in vietnam when you were taking your first steps. Fact is, no matter how old you are, a whippersnapper such as myself can live much more life in one year than one else could in their lifetime... and see plenty of gear on the way.
to clarify: i'd seen a number of persons on the AT last year on my section hikes with "mt washingtons." Two of them identified theirs as a mt. washington and they were Blue. A third, whose was red, said he 'thinks it was a mt washington or something.'
Hence, my statement, i wasn't aware they were other than blue.
Please make a point in finding the appropriate category. I thought this was thread was going to be about that little bump in new hampshire.
